Mumbai Police have registered a case against a 27-year-old man from Dongri for allegedly sexually exploiting a 28-year-old woman doctor, coercing her into an abortion, and threatening to circulate private photos.

Met Through Dating App

According to police, the woman, who works at a hospital in Andheri, met the accused on a dating app in 2023. They engaged in consensual sex, during which the accused secretly took intimate photos of her.

In February 2024, the accused allegedly forced her to undergo an abortion, without her consent.

Betrayal and Threats

The woman later discovered that the man had become engaged to another person and began avoiding her. Realizing she had been misled under the pretext of marriage, she filed a complaint at the MIDC Police Station, leading to an FIR being registered on Thursday.

  • Forcing abortion without consent
  • Criminal intimidation
  • Violation of privacy
  • Cheating and other offences

“No arrests have been made yet. Further investigation is underway,” a police official confirmed.
