Kala Jathedi Undergoes IVF in Tihar Jail to ‘Secure Bloodline’

Gangster Kala Jathedi, currently in Tihar Jail, has undergone an IVF procedure from behind bars after receiving court approval last week. The move, his lawyer said, was to ensure the continuation of his family line.

Jathedi, whose real name is Sandeep Jhanjhariya, filed an application seeking six-hour custody parole for the assisted reproductive technique, where an egg is fertilized with sperm in a laboratory setting.

Advocate Rohit Kumar Dalal, who appeared on his behalf, stated in court that the purpose was to “protect their lineage by way of procreating their child in order to secure their family tree.”

The Dwarka court, in its order dated June 9, allowed the request partially. Additional Sessions Judge Deepak Wason ruled, “In view of the submission made in the application, the present application stands partly allowed and on 14.06.2025 between 06:00-07:00 AM, the concerned treating doctors…shall visit the jail premises…and collect the semen samples of the accused in the jail.” All IVF-related expenses are to be borne by Jathedi.

This development follows Jathedi’s court-granted custody parole in March 2024, which allowed him to marry Anuradha Choudhary, widely known as Madam Don, who is currently undergoing IVF treatment at a Gurgaon hospital.

Once a wrestling enthusiast with dreams of joining the Indian Army, Jathedi was born into an agricultural family. His criminal journey began with petty crimes before escalating to murder and extortion. He was first arrested in 2004. In 2012, he made headlines for attacking a police vehicle, killing three men, and stealing rifles.

While in Bhondsi jail in 2020, he was introduced to notorious gangsters Lawrence Bishnoi and Sampat Nehra. They orchestrated his escape during a shootout in Faridabad the following month.

Later that year, he met Choudhary in Indore, Madhya Pradesh, while both were evading police. The duo was arrested in 2021 by the Delhi Police Special Cell in Saharanpur, Uttar Pradesh.

Police records reveal that Choudhary, a BTech and MBA graduate, has a history of kidnapping and extortion cases. Authorities also claim gangsters Bishnoi and Goldy Brar instructed her to teach Jathedi digital evasion tactics while they were absconding.
