Raigad Superintendent of Police verified that swift responses from the Indian Coast Guard and Indian Navy guaranteed the secure evacuation of all fourteen fishermen on board. A fishing trawler belonging to Rakesh Gan sent a distress signal that compelled the Indian Navy, Coast Guard, and Raigad police to act swiftly to contain the situation.

Friday morning a blaze started on the 42nd floor of a Mumbai high-rise residential block in the suburb of Byculla.

Starting at one of Salette 27’s twin towers on Babasaheb Ambedkar Road around 10:45 AM, the fire sent dense, dark smoke columns into the atmosphere.

Firefight Operations began

An officer of the fire department verified that there were no deaths. Fire tenders raced to the scene and firefighters were already working.
