Social media influencer Apoorva Mukhija, also known as The Rebel Kid, returned to Instagram with fresh posts weeks following the India’s Got Latent controversy. Posting on the social media site on Tuesday, Apoorva Mukhija addressed the threats she had been receiving in the past few weeks. She also shared a short but impactful statement.

The post read, “Trigger warning: This post contains mentions of acid attacks, rape threats and death threats.” Apoorva posted a bunch of screenshots of abusive comments and threats. She captioned the post, “And that’s not even 1%.”

Apoorva’s Fans Welcome Her with Love
Reacting to the posts, a fan said, “COME BACK. We don’t deserve the story, but you deserve the love.” A comment read, “My queen, you absolutely got this. You are such a strong girl!!” “Imagine trolling a woman for taking a stand for herself,” wrote another person. “They wanted you quiet. It’s time that you give them a big Roar!” commented another fan.
Recently, Apoorva, who has three million Instagram followers, cleared all her posts and unfollowed everyone.
About India’s Got Latent Row
Apoorva, along with other creators, received backlash on an episode of Samay Raina’s show India’s Got Latent. In February, Apoorva was a guest on the show. The show got into a big controversy after Ranveer Allahbadia had made some offensive remarks regarding parents and sex.
Several complaints were lodged in Mumbai demanding action against him, Apoorva and Samay. She was charged with having made an objectionable statement on the YouTube show.
She had been appearing before the Mumbai police in the case. The National Commission for Women also took a serious notice of the abusive and offensive comments and issued summons to them.
