R.Kelly Seeks Trump’s Pardon Claiming Murder Plot and Prison Retaliation

R.Kelly seeks a presidential pardon from Donald Trump after a shocking new legal filing claims the singer’s life is in danger behind bars. His lawyer says prison officials tried to arrange his murder and have punished him for speaking out. The singer is currently serving a 30-year sentence for sex trafficking and racketeering.

His attorney alleges a corrupt prosecution and violations of attorney-client privilege. A fellow inmate reportedly refused to carry out a murder plot and warned Kelly instead. Since filing the motion, Kelly has been placed in solitary confinement under harsh conditions. His legal team hopes Trump will intervene to protect Kelly and possibly overturn his conviction.

Lawyer claims prison murder plot and rights abuse

In a new emergency motion, R.Kelly and his lawyer, Beau Brindley, say officials tried to get another inmate to kill him. The motion includes a statement from Mikeal Glenn Stine, a terminally ill Aryan Brotherhood member. Stine says officials promised him early release if he killed Kelly, but he warned the singer instead. After that, a meeting with Kelly’s lawyer was suddenly cancelled, and no one knows where Stine is now.

Brindley also says the prosecution violated attorney-client privilege and used unfair methods to get a conviction. The filing, made in North Carolina, may face jurisdiction issues because R.Kelly was convicted in Chicago. But a hearing is now scheduled for June 20 to decide if the case can move forward.

R.Kelly seeks Trump’s help as prison conditions worsen

Since filing the motion, Brindley says R.Kelly has been placed in solitary confinement as punishment. He claims Kelly has been denied food, kept in dirty conditions, and not allowed to talk to family. He believes this is retaliation for filing the motion, not protective custody.

Now, R. Kelly seeks a presidential pardon from Trump. His lawyer says Trump is the only person with the “courage and power” to act. He claims they’ve already spoken to Trump’s team and hopes the former president will intervene. Trump has often spoken about wrongful prosecutions, and Kelly’s team believes he will understand.
