Former news anchor Lauren Sanchez married Amazon founder Jeff Bezos in a grand ceremony in Venice, Italy, on June 27, according to E! News. The luxurious celebration took place on the island of San Giorgio Maggiore and lasted three days.
Her Children Played Key Roles
Lauren’s three children had important roles during the wedding. Her sons, Nikko (24) and Evan (19), walked with her down the aisle. She shares Nikko with former NFL player Tony Gonzalez and Evan with ex-husband Patrick Whitesell.
Her 17-year-old daughter, Ella, whom she also shares with Patrick, served as her maid of honour. Ella delivered a heartfelt reading during the ceremony.
A Star-Studded Guest List
The wedding had fewer than 200 guests, but it included several high-profile celebrities. Among those present were Kim Kardashian, Khloe Kardashian, Kris Jenner, Kylie Jenner, Kendall Jenner, Eva Longoria, Orlando Bloom, Ivanka Trump, Bill Gates, and Karlie Kloss.

The wedding began with Matteo Bocelli singing Elvis Presley’s “Can’t Help Falling in Love,” which received cheers from the guests, reported People.

Ahead of the wedding, photographers spotted Bezos and Sanchez leaving the Aman Hotel separately. Lauren wore a retro white suit with a silk scarf, while Bezos chose a black tuxedo with aviator sunglasses. Later, she changed into a chic off-shoulder black dress and a wide-brimmed hat, while Bezos wore a brown t-shirt and matching trousers.

Last-Minute Venue Change Due to Protests
The couple originally planned to marry at Scuola Grande della Misericordia on June 28. However, due to ongoing protests against the event, they moved the ceremony to a more secure location. Protesters criticized the wedding as a symbol of wealth inequality.
A Fresh Start on Social Media
Shortly after the wedding, Lauren deleted all previous posts from her Instagram and changed her display name to Lauren Sanchez Bezos. Now, her profile features only one post—a photo of her and Bezos walking down the aisle. The caption simply reads: “06/27/2025.”
A Look Back at Their Relationship
Bezos and Sanchez announced their engagement in May 2023, a few years after they publicly confirmed their relationship. Just last month, Lauren flew into space aboard Jeff’s Blue Origin rocket alongside Katy Perry and Gayle King.
Reflecting on that experience, she told Blue Origin:
“All the love that was in that capsule, and all the heart and the feelings, and seeing Jeff before I left, I just… I had to come back. I mean, we’re getting married! If I didn’t come back, that would be a bummer for me.”
