‘Utterly Enchanting’: Moore’s Love for South India

Reflecting on her trip, Moore said she couldn’t wait to go back. “It’s a beautiful place,” she shared, noting that the cuisine and atmosphere were very different from what she was used to. “The food was so delicious, it was utterly different for me. I mean, really, really wonderful. The temples and the flower markets and the atmosphere…” she gushed.

Moore previously traveled to Tamil Nadu’s Karaikudi in 2018 with husband Bart Freundlich while filming After the Wedding, a remake where she played a woman who runs an orphanage in Kolkata. During that visit, she bonded with Tamil actress Varalaxmi Sarathkumar and visited local weaving centers.
