BTS has never been one to forget anniversaries. June 13 was going to be different, though, when J-Hope, out on his Hope on the Street solo tour, shared the stage with none other than Jin. The event, which was held at South Korea’s Goyang Sports Complex Main Stadium, commemorated BTS’ 12th debut anniversary. What started out as a solo encore performance quickly turned into a reunion that will be remembered for years to come. And even with all the social media frenzy, it was Jin’s own tweet three pictures, one of the two bowing to each other that really touched ARMY around the world.

A Message by J-Hope That Moved Millions

Not long after, J-Hope dropped a message under the post: “Thank you. Keep it up, Jin.”

As J-Hope was halfway through his setlist, the unexpected did occur. Jungkook emerged first, and he joined him for I Wonder. Then, Jin appeared and the stadium erupted. The three performed Jamais Vu and Spring Day together songs which have deep emotional significance for fans and the group as well.

Silent Support from the Rest of BTS

Meanwhile, the other BTS members RM, Jimin, V, and SUGA opted to support from the crowds. Their attendance contributed to the gravity of the night, even if all of them weren’t taking the stage.

A New Song and a Shared Nostalgia

It was not all about reunions, though. J-Hope also used the event to show his audience the first live performance of his new song Killin’ It Girl. The vibe, overlaid with nostalgia and excitement about Jin and Jungkook’s return, made the night more than a concert it was a group memory in the making.

Fans have since turned to social media to air clips, photos, and tears. But at the heart of it all was a moment of thanksgiving, captured in a subdued bow and brief remark. BTS may be embarking on solo journeys at present, but nights like these remind everyone some ties don’t loosen.
