Pusha T has set off a new rap feud after taking a clear shot at Travis Scott in the just-released Clipse song “So Be It.” The track, which he performs with No Malice, features lines that not only name-drop Scott’s ex Kylie Jenner but also suggest that Scott has no loyalty in the rap game.
Pusha T Calls Out Travis Scott in Clipse Comeback Track
“You cried in front of me / You died in front of me / Calabasas took your b**** and your pride in front of me,” Pusha raps, referencing Jenner’s current relationship with actor Timothée Chalamet. He continues, “Heard Utopia had moved right up the street / And her lip gross was poppin’, she ain’t need you to eat / The net gon’ call it the way that they see it / But I got the video, I can share and A.E. it.”
The verse sparked instant reactions across social media, and Pusha doubled down in an interview with GQ, sharing the backstory.
“He Has No Loyalty”: Pusha T Explains His Issue
Pusha T said the beef started during a session at Pharrell Williams’ Louis Vuitton studio in Paris. According to Pusha, Scott interrupted their work to play Pharrell his album.
“He’s smiling, laughing, jumping around, doing his f***ing monkey dance,” Pusha said. “We weren’t into the music… Then a week later you hear Meltdown, which he didn’t play.”
On Travis Scott’s 2023 track “Meltdown,” Drake dissed Pharrell, Pusha’s longtime friend, which Pusha saw as a calculated move. “He has no picks. He’ll do this with anybody. He did it with Sicko Mode, too,” he said, referencing another Drake feature where West was seemingly targeted.
Pusha also mentioned that Scott hyped up Kendrick Lamar’s Drake diss track “Like That” on stage at Rolling Loud. “He don’t have no picks, no loyalty to anybody,” Pusha said. “But you can play those games with those people… We’re not in your mix.”
Ending with a brutal jab, Pusha added: “To me, that really was just like… he’s a wh*re. He’s a wh*re.”
