With the release of the historical drama Chhaava approaching, actor Vicky Kaushal is reminiscing about the “good old days” of his intense training for the role.

On Sunday, the Raazi star took to Instagram to share behind-the-scenes glimpses of his preparation to portray Maratha warrior Sambhaji Maharaj.

Sharing a series of pictures and videos, Vicky wrote, “Good old #Chhaava prep days! See you all on 14th Feb. WORLDWIDE ADVANCE BOOKINGS ARE NOW OPEN!”

The images and clips offer a glimpse into the rigorous physical and combat training he underwent for the film.

Vicky Kaushal has been actively promoting Chhaava and recently visited Patna, where he indulged in Bihar’s famous dish—litti chokha.

On Saturday, the actor took to Instagram to share a series of pictures and videos capturing the moment he relished the traditional Bihari delicacy at a street stall. His enthusiasm for local flavors was evident as he enjoyed the dish while engaging with fans.

Along with the post, Vicky wrote, “Patna aakar Litti Chokha kaise miss kar jaayein??? Garda uda diya!” (How can one miss Litti Chokha when in Patna? It was amazing!)

Vicky Kaushal’s upcoming film Chhaava also features Akshaye Khanna and Rashmika Mandanna.

The period drama brings to life the legendary story of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, played by Vicky. The film will chronicle the courageous Maratha ruler’s reign, starting from his coronation in 1681.

Chhaava is set to hit theatres on February 14.

Up next, Vicky will star in the magnum opus Mahavatar, where he will portray the legendary warrior-sage Parashurama. Inspired by Indian mythology, the film is scheduled for a Christmas 2026 release.
