Tension flared early in The Traitors when Uorfi Javed and Apoorva Mukhija’s first friendship deteriorated rapidly. Although they began the program promising a “sister code” connection, a dramatic dispute over individual boundaries broke their bond. Apoorva requested Uorfi for space amid an emotional breakdown caused by her mother’s absence.
However, Uorfi perceived the remark as disrespectful and quickly escalated the situation behind her back, telling fellow contestants, including Jannat Zubair, that Apoorva acted arrogantly and spoke beneath her dignity. She strongly declared, “I do not like people speaking to me like this. She is not at my level.”
Meanwhile, Apoorva posted a clip from the show on social media with a pointed caption: “Gotta give it to Urfi, hum same level pe toh nahi hai.” The viral moment drew sharp reactions online, with fans immediately picking sides.
Uorfi Javed Fires Back on Social Media
Uorfi didn’t hold back and hit back on her Instagram story. She accused Apoorva of lacking manners and wrote, “Not at the same level cause mai is ladki ki tarah battameez nahin hu.” Furthermore, she added, “Agar battameezi cool hai toh mujhe nahi banna cool gang ka part.” Uorfi later elaborated on the matter with a firm stance.
Speaking to fellow contestants, she recalled how she approached Apoorva out of concern after the mission, only to be snapped at. Uorfi told them, “If you’re the kind of person who’s going to snap, then I don’t want to be your friend. She needs to respect me. She’s my junior.”
