Shah Rukh Khan has temporarily moved out of his sea-facing abode Mannat, as renovation work is underway there. Meanwhile, he, along with his family, has occupied Puja Casa, a luxurious four-storey mansion in Bandra.
The house is owned by Jackky Bhagnani and Deepshikha Deshmukh, the kids of famous Bollywood producer Vashu Bhagnani. The house is on rent by the Khan family as Mannat gets its facelift.
In an interview with Reviewron, Vashu Bhagnani revealed the emotional value of Puja Casa and the fact that the house was constructed as a tribute to his love and devotion towards his wife, Puja Bhagnani. In addition to his success in cinema, Vashu ventured into real estate as well.
Looking back at his early years in Mumbai, he reminisced that his wife’s only modest desire was to possess a one-bedroom flat in Bandra, a place she loved. He recollected, “Andheri East was not the most coveted place at that time. My wife used to tell me, ‘Please arrange a one-bedroom home in Bandra.’ By chance, my friend Govardhan Tanwani had a property at 383 Linking Road. When I requested him for it on rent, he politely gave it to us without taking rent from us.”
The couple stayed there for almost a year and a half as Vashu worked hard on property development and construction. He told, “In 2009, I had given her a whole building in Pali Hill, Bandra, and named Puja Casa after her. She had requested 1BHK, so I gave her a whole building. I had vowed to never sell it, only to rent it out. It would be my safety net during lean times. You never know in the film business when you are going to hit a dry spell,”
Vashu Bhagnani also stated that some industry friends live in the same building. Over the years, he said, certain circumstances forced him to sell parts of the property.
His love for Puja Bhagnani can be seen in more than Puja Casa, as most of his properties and business ventures are named after her.
As per reports, Shah Rukh Khan’s family has rented two beautiful duplex flats in Puja Casa. The rent for these homes is reported to be around Rs 24 lakh every month.
