Housefull 5 box office collection day 9: Tarun Mansukhani’s Akshay Kumar, Abhishek Bachchan, Riteish Deshmukh, Nargis Fakhri, Jacqueline Fernandez and Soundarya Sharma-starrer Housefull 5 released on 6 June and has held its own at the box office. According to Sacnilk, the film has collected ₹141.8 crore net in India in its 9-day run.
Second Saturday Earnings Push Total Beyond ₹141 Crore
The trade site informs that Housefull 5 earned an estimated ₹8.55 crore net in India on its second Saturday and now stands at an approximate collection of ₹141.8 crore. The film earned ₹127.25 crore in its first week and earned ₹6 crore on its second Friday. The film has now passed the mark of ₹200 crore worldwide.
Occupancy Trends and Regional Response to Housefull 5
Even though it is the second week for the film, the crowd still appears to be interested. The film recorded a total occupancy of 16.39% and more than 20% of occupancy in afternoon and night shows. Surprisingly, the film is performing well in Chennai with an occupancy of 29.67%, even surpassing that of Mumbai and Delhi at 18% and 19%, respectively.
Housefull 5 is the fifth installment of a very successful comedy franchise that started in 2010. It is being produced by Sajid Nadiadwala under the banner of Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment.
Direction History and Returning Cast in Housefull 5
The first two films were directed by Sajid Khan, although he credited Farhad Samji for the third film. Farhad directed the fourth film and Tarun the latest. The movie has two climaxes and two different killers based on the theatre it is viewed at. All five films have featured Akshay and Riteish, with Abhishek appearing in Housefull 3 prior to this.
Housefull 5 is a whodunit. It narrates the story of three men called Jolly, who are made suspect persons in the murder case of a very rich billionaire. Sanjay Dutt, Fardeen Khan, Shreyas Talpade, Nana Patekar, Jackie Shroff, Dino Morea, Chitrangada Singh, Sonam Bajwa, Chunky Pandey, Nikitin Dheer, and Johnny Lever also feature in it.
