DeepikaDeepika Padukone has made history by being the first Indian actress chosen to be awarded a star on the renowned Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2026. The news was announced in a live press conference at Ovation Hollywood, where the entire list of recipients for the 2026 class was announced.

Deepika is part of a wide-ranging list of international celebrities being honored in categories such as motion pictures, television, live theatre, music, and sports entertainment.

International Stars Make the 2026 Honours List

Besides Deepika, the 2026 Walk of Fame recipients are Miley Cyrus, Timothée Chalamet, Emily Blunt, French actress Marion Cotillard, Canadian star Rachel McAdams, Italian actor Franco Nero, and celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay.

Hollywood Chamber of Commerce’s Walk of Fame selection committee selected these 35 new stars from “hundreds” of suggestions in a June 20 meeting. The board of directors for the Chamber voted on and approved the list on June 25.

We are thrilled to introduce the latest slate of 35 of these great individuals who will be immortalized on the Walk of Fame as part of the elite Class of 2026,” declared former Warner Bros. Television CEO and Walk of Fame selection committee chairman Peter Roth.

Deepika’s Global Recognition Continues to Rise

Deepika’s global journey has been remarkable all these years. She debuted in Hollywood back in 2017 with the movie xXx: Return of Xander Cage alongside Vin Diesel. Padukone has become an even stronger presence in international entertainment ever since.

Deepika has featured on TIME’s list of 100 Most Influential People and appeared in Variety’s International Women’s Impact Report. Known for her striking red-carpet appearances, Deepika turned heads at the Cannes Film Festival and the Met Gala.

In 2023, she was one of the presenters at the Academy Awards, where she introduced the Oscar-winning song “Naatu Naatu” from SS Rajamouli’s RRR to an international audience.
