Actor Ajith Kumar thanked the government for awarding him the Padma Bhushan, India’s third-highest civilian honor. His manager, Suresh Chandra, shared Ajith’s gratitude in a statement on his X account.

Expressing Gratitude for the Award

Ajith expressed deep humility. “I am deeply humbled and honored to receive the esteemed Padma Award by the President of India,” he said. He thanked President Droupadi Murmu and Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the recognition. He called the honor a significant acknowledgment of his contributions to the nation.

Remembering His Father

Ajith Kumar fondly remembered his late father. “I wish my late father had lived to see this day,” he stated. He believed his father would have been proud of his achievements. He also thanked his mother for her sacrifices and unconditional love.

Appreciating Industry Colleagues and Fans

Ajith thanked the film industry for its support. He acknowledged his seniors, peers, and collaborators who inspired him. He also expressed gratitude to his fans. “Your unwavering love and support have fueled my passion and dedication,” he said.

Recognizing Support from Sports Communities

Ajith highlighted his connection to motorsports and shooting. He appreciated organizations like the Madras Motor Sports Club, Federation of Motor Sports Clubs of India, and National Rifle Association of India. Their encouragement, he said, had strengthened his journey in sports.

Celebrating Family Support

Ajith credited his wife, Shalini, for being his constant support. “Your partnership has been a joy and cornerstone of my success,” he noted. He called his children, Anoushka and Aadvik, his motivation and pride.

Journey in Film and Sports

Ajith began his acting career in 1993 with Amaravathi. He later delivered hits like Vaalee, Mugavari, Mankatha, and Yennai Arindhaal. Besides acting, Ajith pursued motorsports. He competed in the Asian Formula BMW Championship, British Formula 3 Championship, and FIA Formula 2 Championship.

In 2024, he launched his racing team, Ajith Kumar Racing. This step reflected his passion for sports and commitment to excellence.

Committing to Serve with Integrity

Ajith ended his statement with a promise. “I am committed to continuing to serve with integrity and passion,” he said. He thanked everyone who supported him throughout his journey.
