Tributes have been flooding in after the death of Australian model Lucy, with a touching tribute recalling her zest for life and aspirations.

The post read, “It is much too soon for you to leave. Your sunshine, happiness and energy were shared from you wherever you went. You were so near to launching your fitness app, one you toiled on so diligently for the last two years. This brief video is a behind-the-scenes of the filming for your app — you are smiling, and that is how we will always wish for you to be. Your aspirations were always so lofty. Actually, your aspiration was to be a Victoria’s Secret Angel. Now you will be strolling with all of the angels in heaven — they will all be envious of you!”

The post went on with a heartfelt tone, adding, “We will hold your happiness and energy within our hearts and will remember all the wonderful things that you had in your life. Enjoy your travel, fly free for the time being, and see us on the other side again. We love you, Lucy, forever.”

Prior to her death, Lucy had apparently posted on Instagram in now-deleted update that she was getting surgery on April 2 to have an arteriovenous malformation (AVM) “the size of a golf ball” removed.

Lucy initially rose to fame in 2015 at the age of 17 when she was named a finalist in Australia’s Next Top Model. She secured the runner-up position and quickly left her footprint in the global fashion industry.

She has worked with some of the top fashion brands in the world over the years, including Versace, Givenchy, Dolce & Gabbana, Bally, Brandon Maxwell, and Dion Lee. She was also a favorite among the Armani fashion brand, as she appeared on six shows, including Emporio Armani, Giorgio Armani, and Armani Privé.

Lucy strutted down the catwalk for Versace in March 2023. In a pinned post on her Instagram page, she was filled with joy, stating, “Can’t put into words the emotion I feel walking for your show @donatella_versace. Grazie mille.”

Her untimely death has left the fashion industry and her fans grieving a life and career that were so full of promise.
