A stunning rescue by a Kerala forest officer has made waves on the internet, earning thumbs up from all over. While posting a video on X, user Rajan Medhekar posted a clip of Forest Beat Officer G S Roshni, Paruthipalli Range, bravely rescuing a giant king cobra with a snake-catching stick in a shallow water body.
The now widely-viewed video was shared with the caption: “Forest Beat Officer Roshni of Paruthipalli Range didn’t even blink after seeing this 18-foot long #KingCobra! Caught by her from the residential complex of Anchumaruthumoot, Peppara, Thiruvananthapuram, #Kerala, after locals who bath in the stream saw it today.”

The dramatic video shows Roshni working with striking calmness and precision as she retrieves the massive snake, one of the world’s most venomous reptiles from the water. The rescue was conducted in a rural residential area of Thiruvananthapuram after locals spotted the giant cobra while bathing in the stream.
