Zareen Shares Her Past and Katrina Comparisons

Zareen opened up about how her life changed after Veer. She wrote, “Life after Veer was very bad for me, I got a lot of criticism. The film was a life-changing moment for me.”

At first, Zareen felt proud to be compared to Katrina Kaif. She said, “Initially, I felt very happy that I was being compared to Katrina Kaif, but within the industry, things kept getting worse.” For someone who once struggled with weight, the comparison felt overwhelming. “For me, who used to be overweight, being compared to Katrina was huge, but it all backfired,” she added.

Feeling Misunderstood and Judged

Zareen admitted she felt lost in the film world. She explained, “I felt like a lost child in the industry, plus there was hesitation. I didn’t know most people here but they started to feel I was arrogant because Salman Khan launched me.”

She also described how judgment from others affected her deeply. “I was even scared to step out of my house because people would comment on my clothes,” she shared. Over time, the Katrina comparison turned into a burden. “That comparison went in a very negative way,” she wrote.

Zareen revealed that the criticism became so intense that she considered isolating herself. “I was given so many names, that at one point, I wanted to just sit at home. They all saw me as a failure.”

An Honest Reflection

With this heartfelt post and the resurfaced video, Zareen offered a rare look into her early years in Bollywood. Despite the fame that came with her debut, she faced judgment, assumptions, and pressure that made her journey difficult. The video of her meeting Katrina reminds fans of how far she has come—from an admirer in the crowd to an actress facing the industry’s spotlight and shadows.
