Actor Ranveer Singh has revealed the intense first look of his upcoming film Dhurandhar, directed by Aditya Dhar. Alongside this promo, the makers also announced the film’s release date—December 5, 2025.
A Gritty Transformation Like Never Before
Known for experimenting with various roles, Ranveer pushes the envelope once again. In the first glimpse, he appears with long hair, a cigarette dangling from his mouth, and a violent edge in his actions. He is seen beating and killing with ease, backed by energetic background music, indicating the film’s raw tone and brutal violence.
Powerful Ensemble Cast
The makers also revealed the first look of the film’s other key actors. Dhurandhar features a star-studded lineup with Sanjay Dutt, R Madhavan, Akshaye Khanna, Arjun Rampal, and Tamil actress Sara Arjun, who plays the female lead.
Electrifying First Look Teaser
The 2-minute 40-second teaser delivers a gritty mix of mystery and high-octane action. The music, composed by Shashwat, features vocals by Jasmine Sandlas and a surprise collaboration with genre-bending artist Hanumankind. The caption read: “An Inferno will rise. Ranveer’s Mysterious Instagram Move Explained
A day before his birthday (July 6), Ranveer wiped all his Instagram posts, leaving just a story that read “12:12” with two sword emojis. Fans speculated, and now the reason is clear—he was building suspense for Dhurandhar’s first look. His last full-fledged role was in Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani (2023), followed by a brief return as Simmba in Singham Again.
Director’s Secret Birthday Surprise
Director Aditya Dhar had planned to surprise Ranveer on his birthday by dropping a special unit from the film. However, Ranveer found out and confronted him. Though Aditya tried to keep it under wraps, he eventually confessed and asked the actor to be patient for the grand reveal.
Surprise Maintained Despite Curiosity
Sources say Aditya worked hard to keep the surprise under wraps, even though Ranveer had already seen early footage. Still, the final version was kept hidden.
