Trump Responds to Shocking Elon Musk Deportation Speculation

US President Donald Trump on Tuesday reacted to a query about deporting Tesla boss and billionaire Elon Musk from America as the two former friends’ feud was rekindled.

“I don’t know, we’ll have to take a look,” Donald Trump told reporters, according to Newsweek.

Trump Warns Musk of Major Losses Over Subsidy Cuts

Trump also warned Musk that he could lose much more than the electric vehicle subsidies that would disappear if the massive tax breaks bill and spending cuts bill becomes law.

“We might have to put DOGE on Elon,” Trump told reporters as he left the White House for a trip to Florida, reported the Associated Press. “DOGE is the monster that might have to go back and eat Elon.”

DOGE stands for Department of Government Efficiency. Donald Trump appointed Musk to head DOGE after administering the oath of office as president in order to reduce government expenditure.

Trump Suggests Musk May Have to “Close Up Shop”

Trump made the comments the day before he stated that Elon Musk will have to ‘close up shop’ and return to South Africa because the war of words between the two powerful men raged on over the US president’s ‘Big Beautiful Bill’.

“Elon may get more subsidy than any human being in history, by far,” Trump said on social media. “And without subsidies, Elon would probably have to close up shop and head back home to South Africa.”

Trump Targets Elon Musk’s Industries in Cost-Cutting Pitch

Trump also intimated that America might reduce its expenditure by focusing on areas in the economy where Musk has substantial influence.

“No more Rocket launches, Satellites, or Electric Car Production, and our Country would save a FORTUNE. Perhaps we should have DOGE take a good, hard, look at this? BIG MONEY TO BE SAVED!!!” Trump posted.

Elon Musk Threatens to Launch ‘America Party’ if Bill Passes

This came after Musk announced that he would start a political party in case and when Trump’s ‘One Big Beautiful Bill’ gets through.

“If this insane spending bill passes, the America Party will be formed the next day,” Musk wrote on X. “Our country needs an alternative to the Democrat-Republican uniparty so that the people actually have a VOICE.”

Trump Moves to Cut Musk’s Government Contracts

Trump had earlier filed in June to terminate Musk’s government contracts when their relationship turned into a full-blown social media fight.

The feud had been fueled after Musk accused Trump of being listed in Epstein files, something later retracted by the Tesla leader.

Musk, the richest man globally, was Trump’s largest donor in the 2024 election. The two have had a tense relationship throughout the year.
