A video that provides a glimpse into a lavish mansion in Indore has gone viral, impressing social media users with its excessive opulence. Posted by Instagram content creator Priyam Saraswat, the video has reached over 1 crore views, leaving social media users both amazed and perplexed.

Saraswat, who specializes in featuring the most extravagant and unusual houses, begins his tour by asking permission from the owners—a demure couple whose taciturn demeanor is diametrically opposite the sybaritic mansion. As the gates open, spectators are not welcomed by the mansion but by an elegant fleet of luxury vehicles. The obvious showstopper? A 1936 vintage Mercedes, which the owner fondly calls the ‘real gold’.

Once inside, the interiors are even more striking. The house dazzles with golden chandeliers, shimmering walls, and yes, even 24-carat gold switchboards. Saraswat, taken aback, remarks, “I see a lot of gold,” to which the owner responds with a proud smile, “This is all real. 24-carat. We’ve used it in every corner, from decor to sockets.”

The residents proceeded to disclose that their mansion features 10 bedrooms, immaculate lawns, and even a personal cowshed. They were asked how they established such wealth, and the owner told a compelling tale of resilience. We were 25 members in the family surviving on one petrol pump,” he remembered. Things were hard, so he turned to government orders. “Now, we construct roads, bridges, and buildings. We are also constructing a 300-room hotel,” he explained.

The video, posted on Saraswat’s Instagram account @priyamsaraswat, has created a storm of responses online. Some of the viewers were left in awe, while others couldn’t resist making jokes. One of them said, “Imagine staying in a house where even the switchboards are gold,” while another observed, “Looks straight out of a movie set.” A few commented, however, on the security implications of such a gold-plated home.
