Jennifer Aniston Snubs Friends, Eyes Wild ‘Horrible Bosses’ Sequel

Jennifer Aniston, forever loved as Rachel Green from FRIENDS, recently shared that her dream comeback role isn’t the fashionable Central Perk waitress but rather her wild and raunchy character, Dr. Julia Harris from Horrible Bosses. In an interview with People, Aniston revealed she’d love to revisit the 2011 black comedy hit.

Jennifer Aniston Picks Dr. Julia Harris Over Rachel Green

“This actually came up the other day,” Aniston said. “Jason and I were just talking, and Charlie’s been bringing it up too. It’s one of those stories that would be a blast to catch up on again and I mean, who wouldn’t want to know where those wacky characters are now?”

Dr. Julia Harris was a fan-favorite in both the original and the 2014 sequel, with Aniston playing a dentist whose behavior pushed boundaries in hilarious and shocking ways. The film’s cast chemistry and dark humor made it a commercial success.

Comedy and Broadway Still On Her Wishlist

For Aniston, comedy isn’t just fun—it’s essential. “We need comedy,” she emphasized. “It’s a necessity these days. That’s why returning to Horrible Bosses would be so enjoyable. Those are crazy characters and it’d be great to see how much trouble they’re in now.”

While she’s eyeing another stint in raunchy comedy, the FRIENDS alum also dreams of a serious turn on stage. “I really want to do a Broadway play,” she admitted. “It’s about finding time and good material. But I have to do it and it’s one of those things you have to do in your life.”

Currently, Aniston stars in The Morning Show as Alex Levy, a hard-hitting anchor navigating chaos in the media world. Season 4 of the Emmy-winning drama is set to premiere this September. She’s also executive producing a reboot of the 1980 workplace comedy 9 to 5, continuing to juggle creative projects with no plans to slow down.

From sitcom legend to movie mischief-maker to stage hopeful, Jennifer Aniston shows she’s not done evolving—and she’s doing it all on her terms.
