Israel-Iran Conflict Will Remake Middle East, ‘It’s Either Us or Them’ Says Netanyahu

Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu has made the statement that the conflict between Israel and Iran might usher in a dramatically new Middle East. In an interview conducted in Hebrew that was broadcast on Channel 14, Netanyahu predicted that the war may not only weaken Iran’s leadership but push Arab countries into the embrace of Israel under the Abraham Accords.

He classified Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei as a “modern Hitler” and promised to attack additional regime facilities in what he presented as a decisive moment in history.

War Could Shift Regional Balance

PM Netanyahu thinks that the military offensive can initiate a change in the region. He argued that the clash with Iran is not only a security issue but also a driver of wider diplomatic change. Arab nations already opening up to Israel, in his opinion, can further intensify relations as Iran becomes a shared foe.

We’re going to see a different Middle East,” Netanyahu said. “A reality we haven’t seen until now.”

Tehran’s Regime in Netanyahu’s Crosshairs

Regarding regime change in Iran, PM Netanyahu made a historical comparison. He cited ancient Persian king Cyrus, who emancipated the Jews, and implied that Israel’s actions indirectly could strengthen today’s Iranian people to end their leadership. But he emphasized that Iranians have to rise up independently.

PM Netanyahu asserted, without presenting any evidence, that “80 per cent” of Iranians despise their government. He maintained that by attacking Iranian military and governmental targets, Israel is promoting conditions for that internal transformation.

Connecting War to Abraham Accords

Israeli leader sees strategic opportunity in war. He indicated that the Abraham Accords — Israel’s normalization agreements with Arab nations — can gain from common threats posed by Iran. Netanyahu posed this war as a fork in the road.

“The Arab world has opened to us,” he said. “And the threat we have today is Iran. It’s us or them.”

Khamenei Responds: ‘The Battle Begins’

At the same time, Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei silenced his detractors with a stern warning. In an X post, he announced, “The battle begins.” That was his first public statement since President Donald Trump threatened to tell us that he knows exactly where Ayatollah Khamenei is and has just decided not to target him — yet.

Trump has called for Iran’s “unconditional” capitulation, stating that the United States could go further. As military action escalated for a fifth consecutive day, the price of the Israel-Iran conflict heightened at a rapid pace.
