As hostilities between Iran and Israel stretch into their sixth consecutive day, Iran’s Revolutionary Guard Corps announced on Wednesday that it deployed hypersonic missiles in its latest wave of attacks. The statement, broadcast on state television, said the operation dubbed “Honest Promise 3”, involved the use of Fattah-1 missiles during what it called the 11th phase of the offensive.
The Revolutionary Guards further claimed that their forces now have “complete control over the skies of the occupied territories,” marking a significant escalation in both rhetoric and military aggression. While no independent verification has confirmed Iran’s claims of air dominance or missile usage, the announcement reflects the deepening nature of this long-standing and volatile confrontation.
The ongoing violence has already taken a grave toll. Israeli airstrikes have reportedly killed at least 224 people in Iran, including top military commanders, nuclear scientists, and civilians. Iran, in retaliation, has launched missiles that Israeli authorities say killed at least 24 people on their territory, including women and children. Israel’s military also stated it detected fresh missile launches from Iran early Tuesday.
