To mark her fourth birthday, Meghan Markle posted a heartfelt message and two intimate snaps on Instagram, sharing a glimpse of her private family life.
In one monochrome picture, little Lilibet is sitting on Meghan’s lap aboard a yacht, both of them looking windswept. Another retro photo from 2021 features Meghan holding her daughter in a skin-to-skin hug.
“Happy birthday to our gorgeous girl! Four years ago today she entered our lives and every day is brighter and better because of her. Thanks to all those sending love and wishing her a happy special day!” Meghan posted.

The Duchess normally doesn’t show much about her kids, usually posting pictures in which they appear only from behind. In this recent post, though, the eyes and top of Lilibet’s face were visible, with the rest covered by Meghan’s arms as she hugged her daughter.
Meghan and Prince Harry, who retired from royal duties and relocated to California, had Lilibet in Santa Barbara. Their older son, Prince Archie, now aged six, was born at Portland Hospital in London when the couple were still working royals.
The birthday tribute comes shortly after Meghan shared her desire to one day work alongside her daughter. “I wonder if one day I’ll be in business with Lily and we’ll be building something,” she said.
Discussing with Cassandra Thurswell, the creator of beauty brand Kitsch, on the Confessions of a Female Creator podcast, Meghan talked about her much-held dream of being a mother. “I will say, for me, especially when they are baby babies and before I was a mom, I’ve always wanted to be a mom,” she said.
In yet another conversation with Tina Knowles, Meghan has spoken about how she drew inspiration from the Cecred haircare brand, which was founded by Knowles and her daughter Beyoncé.
