Couple Offers Prayers at the Temple
Photos and videos of the visit quickly went viral on social media, showing the couple offering prayers inside the temple. Anushka, wearing a mauve traditional suit and covering her head with a dupatta, stood beside Virat, who was dressed in a cream-colored ethnic outfit. Both stood respectfully with their hands folded and bowed their heads in devotion.

Temple priests welcomed the couple with great warmth. They honored Anushka and Virat with garlands and shawls as a mark of respect. The peaceful and spiritual atmosphere at the temple made their visit even more special.
Mahant Praises Their Spiritual Devotion
Sanjay Das Ji Maharaj, the head priest of the Hanuman Garhi temple, spoke about the couple’s deep spiritual interest. While talking to ANI, he said: “Virat Kohli ji and Anushka Sharma ji have a strong attachment towards spirituality, culture, God, and Sanatana Dharma. They had darshan of Bhagwan Ramlala and then took blessings from Hanuman ji.”
Spiritual Journey Continues After Vrindavan Visit
Before their trip to Ayodhya, the couple had also visited Vrindavan, where they met Premanand Govind Sharan Ji Maharaj, a respected spiritual leader. This visit happened shortly after Virat announced his retirement from Test cricket.
During their time in Vrindavan, Anushka and Virat took part in a meaningful discussion about faith, peace of mind, and devotion. The spiritual teacher asked Virat a personal question about his happiness and explained how chanting God’s name can bring inner peace and help people grow spiritually.
Anushka Seen Supporting Virat at IPL Match
Just a few days later, on May 23, Anushka was seen in Lucknow, cheering for Virat Kohli during an IPL match. She supported his team, Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB), as they played against Sunrisers Hyderabad.
