President Donald Trump on Thursday announced more than $200 billion in new United States-UAE agreements. The historic agreements involve a $14.5 billion partnership between Boeing, GE Aerospace, and Etihad Airways, a White House statement said.
The agreements cut across several sectors and mark growing economic relations between the two countries. The aviation-specific agreements will enhance Etihad’s fleet and operations by leveraging cutting-edge aircraft and engine technologies.
Trump described the deals as a vote of confidence in increasing cooperation and mutual investment possibilities between the US and UAE and referred to them as “a major boost for American jobs and innovation.”
