Tech entrepreneur Bryan Johnson has alleged that yoga guru Ramdev blocked him on X (formerly Twitter) after he called out Patanjali’s anti-ageing claims and pointed out Haridwar’s poor air quality.
On February 19, Ramdev shared a video of himself running alongside a horse, claiming that consuming Swarna Shilajit and Immunogrit Gold—Patanjali products—can boost immunity and slow ageing.
Bryan Johnson’s Response on X
Bryan Johnson, known for his multi-million-dollar anti-ageing regimen, responded to Ramdev’s post by highlighting the high pollution levels in Haridwar, where Ramdev resides.
“Air quality in Haridwar right now is PM₂.₅ 36 µg/m³, equal to smoking 1.6 cigarettes a day. This raises risks of heart disease by 40–50%, lung cancer by 3x, and increases early death risks.”
Minutes later, Johnson discovered that Ramdev had blocked him on X.
Johnson’s Previous Criticism of India’s Air Quality
This isn’t the first time Bryan Johnson has raised concerns about India’s pollution levels. Recently, he abruptly left Nikhil Kamath’s podcast, citing air pollution concerns.
“I had to end the podcast early because the room circulated outside air, making my air purifier ineffective,” Johnson explained.
During his short stay in India, he claimed to have experienced health issues due to pollution, reinforcing his concerns about air quality and longevity.
Patanjali’s Anti-Ageing Claims Under Scrutiny
Ramdev’s anti-ageing product claims have sparked discussions online, with critics questioning their scientific validity. Johnson’s remarks added to the controversy, drawing attention to the health risks of air pollution.
As debates continue, neither Ramdev nor Patanjali has responded to Johnson’s latest comments.
