The picture was posted through the official X account of The Prince and Princess of Wales and depicts them posing in a woodland environment, with Kate guffawing as Prince William pecks her on the cheek. They are both wearing matching outfits, representing their ‘toughest year’ together.

The photo is from a video uploaded last year, when Kate revealed she had finished chemotherapy, after a difficult fight with cancer. Prince William previously praised Kate’s strength in a sincere birthday message: “To the most amazing wife and mum. The courage you’ve displayed over the past year has been inspirational. George, Charlotte, Louis, and I are so proud of you. Happy Birthday, Catherine. We love you. W.”
Kate also posted a message celebrating her treatment’s end, saying: “As summer draws to a close, I don’t know how to say how much of a relief it is to have finally finished my chemotherapy treatment. The past nine months have been extremely difficult for us as a family. Life as you know it can change in a split second, and we have had to learn to sail through the stormy seas and road unknown.”
“The cancer experience is unpredictable, frightening, and difficult for all of us, but particularly for those closest to you. In humility, it also puts you face to face with your own vulnerabilities in a way you’ve never thought about before, and with that, a new realization about everything,” she further said.
