Youth riding bike injured in collision with car, case registered

Speeding Creta car collided with a bike-riding youth heading to work near Sector-66. Bike rider Amit Kaushal (23) sustained serious injuries in the accident. ASI Harnek Singh stated that based on the injured’s father Ravinder Kumar’s statement, a case has been registered against the car driver, Balwinder Singh, a resident of Sector-68. The accused is currently absconding, and efforts are underway to locate him.

Balwinder Singh informed the police that his son, Amit Kaushal, works in a private company at Bestech Tower in Sector-66 Mohali. On December 28, while heading to Bestech Mall on his bike towards Nipper, Amit was struck by a Creta car with a Madhya Pradesh license plate coming from Chandigarh around 9:30 AM. The car fled the scene after hitting his bike.

Amit, severely injured, was taken to GMCH-32 Chandigarh by passersby. Observing his critical condition, doctors referred him to PGI. The police have filed a case against the car driver.”
