He emphasized prioritizing this task. Additionally, he urged the preparation of a list of polling stations where voter turnout was significantly low during the previous election, intending to devise a strategy to increase voter numbers in such areas.
After participating in a video conference at the district administrative complex here, conducted by the Chief Electoral Officer, Punjab, Chandigarh, the Additional Deputy Commissioner informed all electoral registration officers that the rectification from March 1, 2023, to October 26, 2023, should be completed by December 20, 2023. He stressed the importance of swiftly resolving claims and objections received during the Special Summary Revision of the voter list for 2024 by December 26, 2023, at all costs.
