Speaker of the Haryana Legislative Assembly Gyan Chand Gupta met with representatives of the Haryana Urban Development Authority on Tuesday to discuss the Panchkula rehabilitation plan that is still pending. The planned multi-feature park “State of Art” in the city’s Ghaggar Par Sector 24 was also thoroughly discussed during this meeting, which took place at the Legislative Assembly Secretariat.
Speaker of the Legislative Assembly Gyan Chand Gupta stated that to address the issues faced by residents of Panchkula’s Indira Colony, Rajeev Colony, Kharag Mangoli, and other slums, work must be done in a timely way. According to T.L. Satyaprakash, the chief administrator of the Haryana Urban Development Authority, the drone survey work has been finished.
A survey of slums has also been done. Work on this project is going on daily. The plan for the rehabilitation of 619 slums will be completed soon. First, those slums are being included in the scheme, which has gotten relief from the Supreme Court.
The Speaker of the Legislative Assembly also took stock of the progress of the proposed multi-feature park to be built on 18 acres. He said that this park would give international recognition to Panchkula.
This includes a one-of-a-kind maze with a parental tower, a meditation garden based on Japanese art, a modern topiary park, a suspense garden, a modern skating rink, a cycle track of international standards, a suspense fountain, a solar tree-based charging station, a hut-like vertical garden, parks based on the Garden of the Five Senses, the Chime Bell Tree, and the Sense of Sound, which will be the centers of special attractions.
Modern facilities like an open theatre will also be available under this ambitious project. To coordinate the work done by various departments in the park, Superintendent Engineer of Horticulture Wing A.K. Rana’s responsibility has been imposed. Officials assured that this multi-feature park will be ready by June 2024.
In the meeting, Chief Administrator of Haryana Urban Development Authority, T.L. Satyaprakash, Administrator Sujan Singh, S.E. Rajeev Sharma, Chief Engineer Hari Dutt Sharma, Chief Finance Controller India, Bhushan Gupta, E.O. Manav Malik, Executive Engineer N. Of. Payal, Rohtash Singh, Superintendent Engineer of Horticulture, A.K. Rana, SDE of Survey, Kailash Kala, and many other officers were present.
