Near Khadur Sahib, in the vicinity of the sacred Gurudwara, where a local youth allegedly assaulted the Granthi (religious reader) inside the Gurudwara premises. According to statements made by the Granthi, the incident occurred around 5 AM when the accused youth entered the Gurudwara and demanded to meet the Amrit Chak (morning prayers) timings.
Expressing his refusal to follow the prescribed schedule, the youth purportedly attacked the Granthi Singh, resulting in a scuffle. Following the altercation, the accused youth, identified as Alaf Nanga, reportedly fled the scene and has been on the run since then.
Local sources indicate that the Sikh community in the village is deeply disturbed by the incident, and there is significant resentment among the congregants. According to reliable sources, the alleged attacker has been apprehended by the police from his residence, and investigations are currently underway.
The incident has caused a stir in the region, with many demanding swift and stringent action against the accused individual. The local Gurudwara committee, along with prominent community leaders, has condemned the attack and emphasized the need for maintaining the sanctity of religious places.
