The Election Commission of India has created the “C-Vigil” app to prevent violations of the Model Code of Conduct in Rajasthan during the assembly elections. Through this app, complaints are being resolved in a more efficient manner. In the past six days, 135,819 people in the state have downloaded the C-Vigil app, and complaints filed in it are being addressed promptly.
The Chief Election Officer, Praveen Gupta, reported that a complaint regarding a violation of the Model Code of Conduct in the Manoharpur Municipality area was received in the morning, and the action was taken within 56 minutes by Shahpura FST. Similarly, a complaint about the illegal transportation of liquor near Mount Abu’s Doondai Mod was addressed within 88 minutes by the Pindwara Flying Squad, the liquor was confiscated, and an FIR was registered.
According to the Chief Election Officer, since the implementation of the Model Code of Conduct, more than 500 complaints have been registered daily through the C-Vigil app. The majority of complaints, 490, are coming from Jaipur district.
