All the private medical workers of the capital have boycotted work these days amid negligence claims by a patient’s family. As per the decision of the Jaipur Medical Association, the agitation of doctors continued on Sunday. A foot march was taken out from JMA to Trimurti Circle demanding the arrest of the accused. They expressed their anger against the police administration by taking out a foot march and warned that if action is not taken, then they will take their protest to the state level.
Doctors have kept all private hospitals, emergency services, and medical clinics closed in protest against this clash in the hospital. Jaipur Medical Association has demanded arrest against those accused in this incident. OPD and emergency services remained closed in all private hospitals in Jaipur. Due to this, patients in more than 400 private hospitals and small and big nursing homes continued to suffer. The family members of a patient, Vineet, admitted to the Fortis Hospital located on JLN Marg accused the hospital administration of negligence. During this time, the family members created a ruckus outside the emergency. A senior ENT surgeon Dr. Mohan Kulhari was also assaulted. In protest against this, the Private Hospitals and Nursing Homes Society and Jaipur Medical Association held a meeting late on Friday night and decided to boycott the work.
