A team from the fire department reached the spot this afternoon to find out the cause of the fire that broke out at Toyota’s workshop in Chandigarh. He investigated inside the workshop. As of now in the investigation, the reason is said to be an electrical short circuit inside the workshop. However, a detailed report will be submitted by the team to higher authorities.
Yesterday at 7 p.m., a fire broke out in a workshop of Toyota vehicles in Industrial Area Phase-1. It was extinguished by 6 fire engines after one and a half hours of effort.
About a dozen drums filled with diesel were kept in the area of the workshop where the fire broke out. Firefighters and policemen were the first to take out these drums.
If Aang’s flames had reached these dramas, it could have been a major disaster. But fortunately, they were taken out in time.
According to the police, he had left for patrolling the area with his police team at 6:30 p.m. on Sunday. When he reached the industrial area Beat Box, he saw black smoke rising into the sky. When he immediately evacuated from there and reached the place where there was smoke, he came to know that Toyota’s workshop was on fire. He immediately informed the fire department about this.
When the vehicles parked inside the workshop caught fire, three explosions occurred one after the other. These blasts were caused by the oil tanks of vehicles bursting. When the fire brigade vehicles reached here, the workshop was locked. The policemen broke the lock and immediately entered the fire brigade vehicles inside the workshop.
